1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp.. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. water
1/2 lb. nuts (2 cups)

Mix all but the nuts and boil until the syrup forms a soft ball in water. Add nuts. Remove from heat and stir until sugary. Pour onto oiled paper, spread and cool. Bread apart when cool.
