Melt 1 stick of butter into the bottom of an 11x14 inch baking pan. Mix in separate bowl:

2 c. sugar
2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. milk

Pour this over the melted butter without mixing. Pour 32 oz. sliced peaches in heavy syrup over the top of the whole thing; again without mixing. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until browned on top.
