GRANDMA'S SUGAR COOKIES | |
3/4 c. butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. milk 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1/2 tsp. lemon extract Cream together the butter and sugar; add the eggs and stir until "fluffy". Add the flour, baking soda and salt to the mixture and stir. Add the milk and the extracts and if necessary, mix with your hands. Chill dough overnight. When rolling out the dough, add lots of flour until a cookie that's been cut-out can be picked up without sticking to the rolling surface. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. To make frosting, add powdered sugar, milk and a little butter until you get a desired consistency. Decorate with creativity and love! |
