SOFT OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. lard or butter
1 1/4 c. light brown sugar
1 c. milk
3 eggs
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
3 c. quick oatmeal

Cream lard and sugar. Add remaining ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for about 12 minutes.
