HOLIDAY NUT CAKE 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. self rising flour or add 2 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. baking soda to all-purpose flour
6 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. walnuts, chopped

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Gradually add flour. Mix well. Beat in eggs. Add vanilla. Fold in walnuts. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
