TORTILLAS (FLOUR) 
4 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. & 1 tbsp. shortening
1 c. warm water (or more if necessary)

Stir flour and salt together, work shortening in with pastry blender. Then stir in enough water to form into a firm ball. Knead very well and form into egg- size balls. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Roll out. Fry on medium hot griddle 2 minutes one side, 1 minute other side.
