TEXAS PEANUT BUTTER HONNIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. peanut butter with honey
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. honey nut wheat germ
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans, peanuts, or black walnuts)

Cream butter, shortening, and peanut butter. Beat in sugars very well. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in remaining ingredients; mix well.

Form into balls; place on cookie sheet. Cookies can be formed into the size of gold balls. Flatten with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-16 minutes. Makes 2-5 dozen according to cookie size.

NOTE: Melt 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or white chocolate). Drizzle over cooled cookies on a rack. Decorative for tea or coffee break.
