GLUTEN STEAKS 
4 c. vegetable water
3 tbsp. oil
2 c. onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. soy sauce or 2 tbsp. Vegex, Savorex, etc.
1/2 c. tomato juice
1 pkg. George Washington broth (optional)

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Adjust seasonings to make a savory broth to your taste. Slice gluten (from " Make-Your- Own" recipe) into steaks. Simmer in boiling broth for 15 minutes, then Boil, covered, for 30 minutes. Store steaks in broth in refrigerator until ready to use. Dip in beaten egg or brewer's yeast flakes, or roll in cracker or bread crumbs. Brown lightly on both sides in small amount of oil. Remaining broth may be used in gravy.
