SWISS STEAK 
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. flour
3 lb. round steak, cut into pieces
3 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. sliced onion
2 carrots, diced
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 c. tomatoes

Mix together mustard, salt, pepper and flour. Pound mixture into the steak pieces. Use all the flour. Melt shortening in 2 quart heavy skillet or 10 to 12 inch electric fry pan. Brown steak in hot fat until all sides are golden in color. Pour in other ingredients in order given.

Cover pan. Bake at 260 degrees in electric pan or 300 degrees in oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until vegetables are tender. Serve hot.
