HOT WATER CORNBREAD 
Place 1/2 cup white meal and 1/4 teaspoon salt in mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup or a bit more boiling water. Stir well. Drop by large serving spoonful into 1/2 inch hot grease in iron skillet. Brown on both sides. Good served with meat or vegetables. Best with ham and red eyed gravy for breakfast.
