HOT WATER CORNBREAD | |
Put 2 cups of cornmeal in a bowl. Pour over it enough boiling water (about 1 1/2 cups) to make a stiff dough. With hands dipped in cool water, form dough into small patties. Fry in deep fat (bacon drippings are good. The drippings add salt to the mixture.) Fry until brown on both sides. Place on a paper towel to drain surplus fat. |
