DEE'S FIG CAKE 
1 lg. egg
1/2 c. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. plus 3 tbsp. flour
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 pt. preserved figs

Beat egg, sugar, and vanilla. Add oil; sift flour and then combine rest of dry ingredients; add figs and bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.
