“KRUSZCZYKI (POLISH BOW KNOTS)” IS IN:

KRUSZCZYKI (POLISH BOW KNOTS) 
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
8 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter and sugar in milk; beat eggs; add salt. Add liquids to flour mixture and knead. A little more or less flour may be needed to make a soft dough that can be handled easily.

On a surface lightly dusted with flour, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into strips, 3x2-inches. Cut a diagonal slit in each strip. Pull dough through slit. Fry in deep fat (360°F).

When golden, remove using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm. Store in an air-tight container.
