SQUASH PICKLES | |
1/3 c. salt (plain) 10 c. squash, sliced 2 c. onions 4 peppers, sliced 2 c. white vinegar 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. celery seed 2 tsp. mustard seed Combine squash, onion and peppers. Sprinkle with salt. Set aside for one hour. Rinse in cool water and drain. Combine vinegar, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed; bring to a boil. Add squash mixture and bring back to a boil. Put in jars and seal. |
