1 white cake mix, baked
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 lb. box powdered sugar
1 can cherry pie filling

Bake cake according to package directions in a 9x13 pan. Cool.

Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar together, until smooth and creamy. Spread on cake. Top with can of cherry pie filling. Keep refrigerated.

I was a newlywed and at an in-law family gathering. The main meal was pretty bad. Plenty of overly-done meat and frozen vegetables. I didn't care. I was saving room for cake! I had watched this cake being made since early in the day. It was worth it.
