CARAMEL APPLE SALAD | |
1/2 c. sugar 8 oz. crushed pineapple 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 1 tsp. flour 1 egg 6 Granny Smith apples 1 c. dry roasted peanuts 10-12 oz. Cool Whip Mix first 5 ingredients in saucepan. Bring to boil, stir until thickened. Cool (if in a hurry, cool in freezer). Cut apples into chunks with skin on. Add cooled pineapple mixture, peanuts and Cool Whip. Mix well and serve. Best if refrigerate for a while. |
