CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP 
2 (46 oz.) tomato juice
2 tsp. sugar (or more)
1 1/2 qt. milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
10 tbsp. flour
1 stick butter
3 tsp. Worcestershire
Few dashes Tabasco
Celery salt & pepper to taste
3 tsp. beef base

Make a cream sauce of the milk, flour and butter. Mix the tomato juice with the beef base and seasonings. Before adding the cream mixture to the tomato mixture; add soda to the tomato juice then add the cream mixture and stir until smooth. Simmer a little while to be sure flour has cooked.
