TENNESSEE MEAT BALLS 
1 egg
1 c. evaporated milk
2 slices bread
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 lb. hot pork sausage
1 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
Dash of black pepper
2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Beat egg. Add milk and bread crumbs. Let stand a few minutes. Add meat and seasoning to egg mixture. Blend well. Shape into small balls. Brown in hot shortening. Drain on paper towels. Place meat balls in casserole. Blend sour cream and soup; pour over meat balls. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes.
