HAMBURGER PIE 
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (16 oz.) can French style green beans, drained
1 can pork and beans
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
3 med. potatoes, peeled and quartered (1 lb.)
1 beaten egg
Milk
1/2 c. shredded American cheese

Cook hamburger with onion until meat is browned; drain off fat. Stir in beans, soup, 1/4 cup water, 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Put mixture in 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

Cook potatoes in water for 20 minutes or until just tender, drain. Mash while hot, stir in egg. Add enough milk to make potatoes fluffy, yet stiff enough to hold their shape. Drop mounds of potatoes on top of meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. 4-6 servings.
