GRANDMA'S STUFFED CABBAGE 
1 head cabbage
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. raw rice
1 onion (med. sized)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
12 oz. can tomato sauce
2 (12 oz.) cans water
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 plus tbsp. sugar (to taste)

Core cabbage. Boil cabbage in 2 inches of water in covered pot until leaves get soft. Dice onion and brown in small amount of vegetable oil. Parboil rice; mix meat, rice, and onion together. Add salt and pepper. Mix, then separate cabbage leaves. Put 2 - 2 1/2 inch sized balls of meat mixture into cabbage leaf and roll leaf closed. Make tomato sauce mix to simmer stuffed cabbage in (mix tomato sauce, water, lemon juice, and sugar together for a sweet and sour taste using a large pot). Simmer the stuffed cabbage in mixture for 1 hour.
