SAUERKRAUT AND SAUSAGE 
1 pkg. Bratwurst or other sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 c. peeled, chopped apple
1 can sauerkraut
1 1/2 c. fresh sliced green cabbage

Cook sausage until brown. Remove. Cook onion and celery in sausage liquid. Place sauerkraut and cabbage in skillet. Add the cooked sausage. Cover and cook until well heated. Optional: Add 2 peeled potatoes, sliced 3/4-inch thick. Good with salad and French bread.
