BOSTON BROWN BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. raisins 2 c. boiling water 2 tbsp. baking soda Mix together and cover 45 minutes. Raisins will plump. 2 c. sugar Pinch of salt 2 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. butter Combine all ingredients. Add water from the raisins. Hand mix. Try not to break raisins. Divide into 8 or 9 greased cans (vegetable or fruit cans, which can be smaller or larger) just check baking time. Fill half full as it will double in size. Bake at 350, 45 to 55 minutes. |
