POUND CAKE WITH PEACH SAUCE 
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
Pinch nutmeg
2 lg. peaches, peeled & sliced
1/4 tsp. almond extract
4 slices pound cake

In small saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, water and nutmeg. Stir until smooth, stir constantly over medium heat. Add peaches and cook until mixture boils. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in almond extract. Serve warm over pound cake slices. Makes 1 1/3 cups.
