FLANK STEAK MARINADE 
1 inch piece fresh ginger root
3/4 c. dry vermouth or sherry
1 handful chopped parsley
1/2 c. soy sauce
3 cloves garlic
1 flank steak

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Marinate a flank steak in this overnight, turning several times. Bring to room temperature then grill over hot coals (or under broiler) 7 minutes per side. Cut meat on the bias into 1 inch strips. Serves 4 to 6.
