STRAWBERRY COFFEE CAKE 
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
6 tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c. milk
1 1/2 c. fresh strawberries
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour

Sift first 3 ingredients together, cut in shortening with 2 knives or pastry blender. Combine egg and milk and add to dry ingredients. Blend thoroughly. Spread dough in greased 10 x 6 pan. Arrange strawberries on top. Combine last 3 ingredients and mix with fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over strawberries. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 25 minutes. Serves 6-8.
