1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. + 4 heaping tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream the butter and sugars. Add oil and cream until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift flour and rest of dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture and beat well. Roll into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Press down cookies with glass that has been dipped in sugar. Bake in 325 to 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 5 or 6 dozen.
