FRENCH APPLE COBBLER 
5 c. apples, peeled and cut up
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. water

Mix all together and spread in oblong pan.

Butter Topping:
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. soft butter
1 egg

Mix sugar, egg, and soft butter together. Add dry ingredients and mix. Drop on apple mixture in 9 portions with spoon. Bake at 350 degrees.
