HAMBURGER CORN PONE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. shortening
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. tomatoes, canned
1 c. corn bread batter
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. kidney beans

Saute onions and ground beef in shortening. Add tomatoes and seasonings. Simmer 15 minutes. Add kidney beans. Put into a casserole dish. Pour cornbread batter over the top. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.
