BUTTERNUT CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sweet milk
4 eggs
1 tbsp. butternut flavoring

Cream Crisco and sugar for 10 minutes on high speed. Add eggs unbeaten. Mix well. Add milk and flour alternately. Add flavoring and be sure to mix well. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees or until brown.

ICING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. Crisco OR
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. canned milk
1 tbsp. butternut flavoring

Mix together and spread on a cooled cake.
