TOSTADO PIZZA | |
2 tbsp. yellow cornmeal 2 c. biscuit mix 1/2 c. cold water 1 lb. ground beef 3/4 c. water 3 tbsp. chopped, seeded, canned green chilies 1 env. taco seasoning mix 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can refried beans 1 c. shredded American cheese Generously grease a 12" pizza pan. Sprinkle with cornmeal. In bowl, combine biscuit mix and water. Stir with fork until dough follows fork around bowl. Turn out on lightly floured surface; knead 5 or 6 times. Roll to 14" circle. Pat into pan. Crimp edges. In skillet, brown meat, drain off excess fat. Add 3/4 cup water, the chilies and taco mix; bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes until thick. Spread beans in dough. Top with meat mixture. Bake in 450 degree oven for 20 minutes. Top with cheese and melt. Garnish with lettuce, tomato and peppers. |
