HADEN SALAD RELISH 
1 gallon green tomatoes
1 gallon ripe tomatoes
4 hot peppers
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. white mustard seed
1/2 gallon chopped cabbage
2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 gallon vinegar
3 pts. sugar
1/3 c. salt
1/2 dozen green peppers
1 qt. chopped onions

Chop green tomatoes and drain overnight. Cook ripe tomatoes until thick, then mix all ingredients. Cook 1 hour. Can in sterilized jars. You can omit the hot peppers and add 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
