POLISH SWEET BREAD | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 5 lbs. flour 3 tsp. salt 1 stick butter, melted 2 c. sugar 3 c. milk 8 beaten eggs 1/2 c. oil 1 c. water Sift flour with salt and sugar. Heat milk and let cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add yeast, butter, oil and eggs to cool milk mixture. Gradually add to dry ingredients. Knead and put in greased bowl. Let rise until double in bulk. Put in greased bread pans and let rise. Cook in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until done. While hot, coat top with butter. Makes 5 standard loaves. |
