RUTABAGA CASSEROLE 
2 rutabagas, peeled & cut (about 6 c.)
1/4 c. dried bread crumbs
1/4 c. cream
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Salt to taste
2 eggs, beaten
3 tbsp. butter, melted

TOPPING:

Butter
2 pieces of toast

Cook rutabagas. When done, drain and mash. Add all other ingredients. Mix well and put into greased casserole. Dot with butter. Rub two pieces of toast over top. Bake one hour at 350 degrees until lightly brown.
