PECAN PIE SQUARES 
1 box yellow cake mix
1 egg
1 stick butter, melted
1-1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cups chopped pecans

Put cake mix in a bowl; remove 2/3 cup and save for later. Add 1 egg and butter. Mix and pat into a greased 9x13 pan.

Bake 10 minutes at 350°F.

Mix corn syrup, brown sugar, 3 eggs, vanilla and 2/3 cup cake mix. Pour on baked layer and sprinkle with pecans.

Bake 30 minutes more. Allow to cool and cut into squares.

This recipe tastes just like pecan pie!
