CHOW MEIN 
1 1/2 lb. hamburger
1 onion
3 c. celery, more if desired
1 can cream mushroom soup
1 can chow mein vegetables
3/4 c. water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
Salt to taste
1 sm. can water chestnuts; optional

Brown hamburger, onion, and celery; drain well. Add cream of mushroom soup, chow mein vegetables, 3/4 cup water, soy sauce, and salt if desired. Simmer 1 hour; stir occasionally. Serve with rice and chow mein noodles.
