2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. soured milk
2 sq. chocolate, melted
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. water

Cream butter and sugar. Add melted chocolate and eggs; combine thoroughly. Add flour, salt and soda, sifted together; alternately with milk. Add water and vanilla, beating well after each addition. Bake in 10 x 14 inch pan about 40 minutes. This recipe was baked by my grandmother in the `30's.
