GRANDMA'S ORANGE CARROT CAKE 
1 c. molasses (Gold Label)
1 c. butter, softened
4 eggs
1/2 c. orange juice
1 c. white flour
1 c. wheat flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. shredded carrots
1/2 c. walnuts

Combine molasses, butter, eggs and orange juice, mix well. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, mix well. Add carrots and walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees in 8 or 9-inch round pans for 30 to 35 minutes Cool 15 minutes before removing from pans. Cool completely before frosting.

Add 1 teaspoon grated orange peel to Cream Cheese Frosting (page 34) to complete theme.
