GINGERBREAD MUFFINS 
1/2 c. butter
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 egg
1 c. hot water
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. dark molasses

Cream sugar and butter, add dry ingredients, alternating egg molasses and water, beat until smooth. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
