HAM AND APPLE PIE 
Pastry for 2 crust pie
3 c. tart apples, peeled & sliced
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. diced cooked ham

Line deep pie plate with pastry; sprinkle with a little sugar; spread with half the apples. Cover with half the sugar, flour and spices. Add all of the ham. Repeat the layer of apples, sugar, flour and spices.

Cover with top crust; cut steam vents. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes; lower heat to 350 degrees and continue baking for 30-45 minutes (until well browned). Serve hot with the addition of cooked vegetables, pasta, etc.
