JELLIED MARSHMALLOW SQUARES | |
1 env. unflavored gelatin (Knox) 2/3 cup hot water 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup light corn syrup (Karo) confectioners' sugar, for dusting and rolling Dissolve gelatin in hot water over low heat. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Mix in syrup; chill until slightly thickened. Beat about 5 minutes or until stiff. Pour into an 8x8x2-inch waxed paper-lined pan. Chill overnight. Turn mixture with waxed paper onto board heavily dusted with confectioners' sugar. Moisten paper with damp sponge; let stand for a few minutes. Peel off paper. Dust top with confectioners' sugar. Cut into squares; roll edges in sugar. Makes 5 dozen. |
