TAMALE PIE 
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 (10 oz.) can enchilada sauce
1 can diced green chiles, drained
1 tsp. chili powder
1 can sliced pitted ripe olives, drained
1 c. milk
1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese

Sprinkle salt in wide frying pan and add ground beef. Brown until crumbly. Stir in onion and garlic. Cook until onion is soft. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle cheese evenly on top and bake 5 minutes more until cheese melts.
