OLD FASHIONED CHOCOLATE CAKE 
3/4 c. butter, soft
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
2/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. water

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2 inch an. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat on high speed 3 minutes. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. add alternately with water to creamed mixture. Blend just until combined. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean. Cool completely and frost. NOTE: Cake may be baked in 2 greased and floured round pans, 9 x 1 1/2 inches. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Serves 12-15.
