MEAT AND POTATO CASSEROLE 
6 slices bacon
1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. onions, chopped
1 c. dry bread crumbs
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 c. ketchup
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 c. hot mashed potatoes
1/2 c. grated cheese
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

Fry bacon until crisp; remove and drain. Brown ground beef and onion; add bread crumbs, chili powder, ketchup and pepper. Mash potatoes; add cheese, salt and beaten egg and beat until light and fluffy.

Spread 1/2 of mashed potatoes in bottom of greased 1 1/2 quart casserole and cover with ground beef mixture. Top with remaining mashed potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top of casserole before serving.
