4 potatoes - cut
1 1/2 c. water
4 sm. onions - cut
1 head cabbage, quartered
1 or 2 cloves of garlic
1 bay leaf
1 lb. smoked sausage
4 carrots
3 or 4 whole cloves
6 peppercorns
Lawry seasoning salt

Layer ingredients in large pan with lid (Dutch oven). cover tightly and simmer about 30 minutes or until desired tenderness of vegetables.
