COUNTRY HAM BALLS | |
1 1/2 - 2 lbs. cooked ground country ham 1 lb. uncooked loose sausage 2 c. dry bread crumbs 2 eggs Milk as needed - 2 c. SAUCE: 2 c. brown sugar 1 c. water 1 c. white vinegar 1 tbsp. prepared mustard Combine ground ham, sausage, bread crumbs and eggs. Mix thoroughly and add enough milk to form a moist mixture which can be rolled into small balls. Lay balls in shallow baking dish. In saucepan combine sugar, water, vinegar and mustard. Bring to a boil and pour over ham balls. Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Great for derby. |
