GROUND BEEF PIE WITH BISCUITS 
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown gravy
1 can refrigerator biscuits
2 med. potatoes
2 carrots
Salt and pepper

Brown ground beef and onion. Cook potatoes and carrots until tender. Drain. Add to ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in gravy. Place in casserole dish. Top with biscuits. Bake at 450 degrees until biscuits are done.
