PEANUT BUTTER CAKE 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
2 tbsp. peanut butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

Cream shortening and sugar. Add peanut butter, egg, and milk. Sift all dry ingredients. Beat well. Bake at 375 degrees until done.

PEANUT BUTTER ICING:

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 stick butter

Cook until soft ball stage. Add 2 tablespoons peanut butter. Let cool and beat. Spread on cake.
