BLACKBERRY JAM CAKE 
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. jam
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
3 c. flour
1 c. raisins, chopped
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream sugar, butter, and eggs. Add buttermilk and flour, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon and vanilla. Add raisins and pecans. If you don't have blackberry jam, you may substitute pear preserves or applesauce.
