1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. mincemeat
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. oatmeal

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add mincemeat. Sift flour, soda and salt together, add to creamed shortening. Add oatmeal (nuts may be added if desired). Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen small cookies.
