CHICKEN AND NOODLES 
3-4 lb. whole chicken
4 c. chicken broth (4 c. water with 5 chicken bouillon cubes)
1 lg. onion, chopped
2-3 stalks celery, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 (9 oz.) bag Harrington Amish Noodles

Place chicken in crock pot and add water and bouillon cubes. Cover with onion, celery, salt and pepper. Turn crock pot to low. Cover and cook 8 to 10 hours.

Remove chicken and add noodles to broth. Turn crock pot to 'high' and cook noodles until tender. (I do this in the microwave.) Thicken with a flour and water mix. A 4 ounce can of sliced mushrooms can be added. Break up chicken and return to noodles.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
